来源: 时间:2023年12月20日 浏览次数: 【字体:

Dear valued partner,

The 2024 (29th) China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET 2024), organized by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE),will be held in Beijing, Wuhan, Shanghai, and Guangzhou from 13 to 21 April, 2024. Additionally, the “2024 (20th) China Study Abroad Forum” (CSAF 2024) will be held on 12 April in Beijing. On behalf of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, I would like to extend a sincere invitation to diplomatic missions in China, universities/colleges from home and abroad, and other major players in international education to participate in this grand event.

The China International Education Exhibition Tour, inaugurated in 1999 and now in its 24th year, has established itself as one of the most influential, and largest-scale international education exhibitions in China that covers the widest spectrum of services in relation to study abroad. With firm support from the Ministry of Education, CIEET along with the China Study Abroad Forum, is dedicated to promoting high-quality development of the study abroad initiatives, and accelerating and broadening Chinas high-level opening up in the field of education. Under this commitment, CIEET has been consistently providing up-to-date, comprehensive, and authoritative information on global learning, while having set up a platform for reciprocal selection between destination universities and outbound Chinese students. CIEET has also functioned as a bridge that fosters intercollegiate exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and overseas universities, while playing a noteworthy role in helping guide and regulate the healthy and orderly development of self-funded study abroad.

As a pivotal inaugural event of CIEET, the China Study Abroad Forum has been successfully held in 19 consecutive editions in Beijing ever since 2004. Over these years, the forum has brought together government officials, experts and representatives of educational institutions in and outside China, fostering a dialogue in which they delve into hot topics within the international education domain. It has evolved into a significant platform dedicated to implementing China’s national educational policies, supporting China’s engagement in global education governance, and fostering consensus on the worldwide development of education.

As an integral component of the broader initiative of educational opening-up to the global community, the pursuit of study abroad stands out as a crucial avenue for fostering the mobility and growth of talents. It contributes significantly to deepening mutual trust for win-win cooperation among nations and plays a pivotal role in advancing collaborative innovation in science and technology. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the China International Education Exhibition Tour, standing at the threshold of a new historical epoch, the events scheduled for the 2024 CIEET and CSAF are poised to steadfastly uphold the vital thread of high-quality development. They will fortify their commitment to serving the nation, educational institutions, and the society, unveiling the following key highlights:

Firstly, the emphasis is on study abroad, with coordinated efforts to advance both aspects of the educational initiatives of “going global” and “bringing in”. Activities related to studying abroad and coming to study in China will be organized during the exhibition and the forum, featuring the release of authoritative data on CSCSEs services, hereby significantly enriching the content of the event. Secondly, the focus is on service, with the aim of continuously refining CSCSEs comprehensive study abroad service system. This includes concerted endeavours to incorporate the series of events alongside CIEET, including the “Job Fair for Overseas Returned Students and High-End Talents” in Beijing and the Pre-departure Orientation for  Study Abroad”. All this aims to create an integrated and distinguished international education event encompassing the needs of outbound, overseas and inbound/returned students. Thirdly, the spotlight is on cooperation, that is to deepen intercollegiate cooperation through opportunity networking initiatives. The Exhibition will set up tailor-made areas for discussing collaboration proposals and job opportunity symposium for returned talents. These efforts aim to facilitate the connectivity and integration of high-quality education resources between China and the rest of the world.

We earnestly look forward to reuniting with our esteemed domestic and international partners of the education sector in the picturesque springtime. Together, let us deliberate on the development of international education, work on the service system, and collectively partake in the fruits of progress. We aspire to make fresh and substantial contributions to promoting cross-cultural exchanges, fostering people-to-people connectivity and advancing the cultivation of internationalized talents. We eagerly anticipate the pleasure of meeting with you at the 2024 (29th) China International Education Exhibition!
